Plaid Nails

Who says plaid can't be chic? This design is super simple and super versatile.

For this design, you need three colors. I've used shades of grey for this tutorial, but I will refer to each as colors A, B, and C, since you can really use any set of colors for this design.

Start by painting your nail with two coats of Color A.

With a striping brush and Color B, paint three vertical lines on your nails. Try to keep the lines as evenly spaced as possible for the best effect.

Fill in between the lines.

Repeat to make horizontal stripes.

With Color C, outline and fill in the crossroads.

With Color A, make thin lines down the center of the stripes.

And with Color C, make thin lines thrown the center of the negative space.

Seal in your design with a fast drying top coat and enjoy!
